Have your say about standards in social housing

Respond to our statutory consultation on the standards social housing landlords will have to meet in future.

We want to know what you think of the national standards we’ve drawn up for social housing landlords. They’re based on what tenants and landlords told us during the National Conversation about what was important to get right. Landlords will have to meet the standards from April 2010.

What we've heard so far

Results from the second phase

We received over 700 formal responses from tenants, landlords and other stakeholders to our initial thoughts on our regulatory standards.

We have published a summary of the responses and many of the responses themselves.

Results from the first phase

Help us fine-tune our draft standards by responding in writing to our discussion paper. We’ve published both a summary and a full version for you.

You can also read the executive summary, the summary or the full report of what tenants and landlords told us in the first phase of the National Conversation.
